Education Outreach in Rural India
Help us provide a nurturing home and a rigorous education to thousands of children throughout Andhra Pradesh.
We operate schools from the primary to the college level, including post-graduate courses. Education opens the door to employment opportunities that shape community leaders. We promote the education of young girls in communities where they wouldn’t otherwise have opportunities to learn. Your partnership enables students, to flourish in viable careers and become pillars in Indian society – not because of their caste- but because of their capabilities and the content of their character.
Many children arrive at IREF having faced abandonment, abuse, or exploitation. Through Lydia Children’s Home, we provide a safe, nurturing environment where they can heal, learn, and grow. Founded in the 1980s to shelter children left homeless by a devastating cyclone, Lydia Children’s Home now serves hundreds of children, nearly a third of whom have lost one or both parents.
With your support, these children receive nutritious meals, quality education, and consistent care in a secure, stable setting—giving them not just safety, but the opportunity to build brighter futures and become agents of change in their communities.
CDCs provide vital after-school care for children ages 3–7, offering nutritious meals, clothing, and early learning opportunities. With many parents working long hours to support their families, these centers give children a safe, nurturing environment while easing the burden on their families.
Many children from these programs go on to continue their education on IREF’s main campus. By supporting a Child Development Center, you are helping teachers and community staff set young children on a path to learning, growth, and a brighter future.
