Giving children a chance to succeed in life.
The humble beginnings of India Rural Evangelical Fellowship (IREF) have evolved over the years, and education now plays a pivotal role in IREF’s multi-faceted mission. IREF Founder, Prasada Rao Rebba shared his faith in rural South India with anyone who would listen, and soon, the seeds he planted began to grow. Others joined him in his Cause, and small flocks of believers began to form in surrounding villages.
By the early 1980’s, Prasada Rao and his wife Lydia had brought a handful of orphans to live under their roof. Today, IREF educates over 5,000 children spiritually and academically. IREF is teaching generations of Indian children to think differently about God, about themselves and about their place in this world.
Churches are being planted throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh. Knowledge is being instilled, and foundations of faith are being built. And with this new faith comes an entirely new way of looking at the world around those IREF serves. IREF is truly changing lives and God is at the center of it all!
